Tracker Dog Handler Course - Zimbabwe

Unique learning environment

Living and Working in Zimbabwe

This NASDU Overseas Endorsed Tracker Dog Handler course can be delivered in Zimbabwe through cooperation with established local conservation and security partners.

Training takes place in the Midlands region of Zimbabwe, where access to extensive rural terrain provides an excellent environment for developing operational tracking skills. Accommodation is provided on a full-board basis at a former hunting lodge, allowing learners to live and work in a realistic field environment throughout the course.

The training area offers a wide variety of natural environments including bush, farmland, rural communities and hard-surface areas, enabling handlers and dogs to develop a full range of operational tracking and trailing skills.

Courses are deliberately delivered in small numbers to maintain a high instructor-to-student ratio and to ensure each learner receives significant practical instruction and mentoring during the programme.

The NASDU Overseas Endorsed Tracker Dog Handler qualification is portable, meaning the course can also be delivered in other suitable operational environments where appropriate training areas and logistical support are available.
